State Law Requires Lead Paint Inspections for Rentals as of July 22, 2022. For more information, visit this guide. Lawrence Township enforces NJ State Law 5:28A requiring rental unit(s) built before 1978 in the township are tested for lead hazards and a certificate be issued that the units are safe. Please call the Health Department at 609-844-7089 with any questions or concerns.
