John Ryan and his wife Linda have lived in the Township for more than 30 years. John was selected by Council to complete a remaining unexpired term. John and Linda have been married for 38 years raising their three daughters, Rebecca, Megan, and Hannah, all products of the Lawrence Township Public School System. John and Linda have two grandsons Asher and Elijah.

John retired in 2017 after 29 years with UPS where he was elected as Union Shop Steward for Teamsters Local 177, a position he held for 12 years. His duties as Union Shop Steward included being a liaison between management and drivers, as well as, finding reasonable resolution between driver’s grievances and management while adhering to established rules and regulations required by federal, local and union law. Additionally, John owned and operated Ryan’s Landscaping and Lawn Care LLC.

Upon retiring John attended Council, Planning Board, and Zoning Board meetings, recently being appointed to the Lawrence Township Planning Board. This experience has given John a better understanding of the operations of the Municipal government. Presently John serves on numerous boards and committees.
