Safe Sitter Class
The Lawrence Township Health and Recreation departments sponsor the Safe Sitter Course to teach adolescents safe babysitting skills. The program teaches 11-13 year olds how to handle emergencies when caring for young children. safe Sitters learn what to do when a child stops breathing or how to care for a choking child. Other areas include accident prevention, how to call for emergency assistance, basic childcare skills and how to entertain children and keep them safe.
The Safe Sitter program is a 12 hour program held on 4 days for 3 hours each day (3:45pm to 6:45pm). Classes will be held March 10, 11, 12 and 13 in the Lawrence Township Municipal Building. The deadline for registration is March 3 and class size is limited to 12 students.
Fee is $20.
